Man accused of threatening woman with sword at Canberra home

A man has allegedly threatened a woman with a sword at a home in Canberra.

Police responded to reports of a disturbance at a home in Scullin, in the city’s northwest, about 11.30pm on Wednesday.

When they arrived officers heard a woman screaming and saw a man allegedly holding a sword while standing in a doorway.
